Dr. Heidi Olejnik (pronounced Oh-LAY-nick) grew up near Tacoma, WA, attended Linfield College in McMinnville, OR, and has lived in Portland since 2007. She swam competitively and played water polo throughout high school and college. After college she pursued her passion for travel and foreign languages by teaching English as a second language in Japan and Austria.
Upon returning to the U.S. Dr. Olejnik worked as a health unit coordinator at OHSU Hospital while considering how to best combine her interest in healthcare with teaching. During this time she had her first experience with chiropractic and realized its unique benefits. She appreciated that chiropractors can take time to listen, collaborate, empower, and develop long-term, caring relationships with patients. Chiropractors perform individualized biomechanical analysis and provide hands-on care that effects profound changes. She was inspired and enrolled at the UWS College of Chiropractic. She loves her work and cannot imagine doing anything else.
Dr. Olejnik is proud to be a treating physician at Portland Chiropractic Group since 2012. When the opportunity arose in 2015 to also serve patients at the coast she was thrilled. Dr. Olejnik has loved the Oregon coast since childhood and is excited to be a part of this community as well as Portland's.
In her spare time, Dr. Olejnik enjoys swimming, hiking, traveling, and hanging out with her dog, Leo.
